The Bitter Herbs of Hunger

When faced with hunger, illness or financial crisis, it’s hard to know where to turn for help. The SCRIP Program of the Columbus Jewish Foundation helps local Jewish Comunity members with emergency vouchers for food, gasoline, and prescription medicine redeemable at all local Kroger Stores.

SCRIP is funded by the Social Justice and Jewish Needy Endowments and the Community Grants Fund of the Columbus Jewish Foundation. This endowment is dedicated to programs designed to eliminate social injustice in central Ohio to fund local Jewish social action programs, advance positive relations between the local Jewish community and other groups, and educate local leaders regarding issues important to the Jewish community.

If you or someone you know is in need of SCRIP, please call Jewish Family Services at 614-231-1890 or click here for a list of SCRIP partners.
